I booked a two night stay for me, my Husband and our family over the Easter break, it was very last minute so I wasn't expecting it to be so perfect. Melissa was absolutely lovely and she went above and beyond to provide the best experience for us. I explained to Melissa how we were planning to visit and surprise our family and she did her utmost best to accommodate us. The rooms were comfortable and provided everything we needed for our stay. The chef was also amazing, the meals were just beautifully presented and tasted absolutely lovely, breakfast was nice and being included in the price of the room was well worth it. Great choice and cooked to perfection. We had fantastic weather and such a lovely warm welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend The Ship Inn to anyone looking for the perfect stay. Thank you
We stumbled upon The Ship Inn on a whim after finding Tucker’s closed for break, and what a wonderful surprise it turned out to be! We came hoping for an authentic Scottish beer experience, and we got so much more. The owner was absolutely lovely—so kind, welcoming, and genuinely accommodating. It’s rare these days to meet someone who makes you feel so at home right away. The Ship Inn truly feels like a hidden gem in Scotland, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for great place and even better hospitality, this is the place to go!
What a fantastic inn! We were treated so well and the food (dinner and an included breakfast) was exceptional. All of the staff were so lovely and took great care of us and even gave us special treatment for our celebration! 10/10 recommend! Quick 30 min drive from Inverness where you can stay in the quiet little town before heading to the west highlands.
Very nice little inn and restaurant, good breakfast, nice people, our room was very spacious with smart TV, however pay attention to whether you have an en suite bathroom and don't assume. We were surprised a bit by this but didn't ruin our experience by any means. We enjoyed our stay.
Very comfortable rooms with a full Scottish breakfast in the morning. The location was amazing with a view of the harbour. Stonehaven was a lovely town with lots to do and see. I would definitely stay here again.
Absolutely fantastic hotel. We stayed for a night and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We took our dog and had a room with outdoor access at night. Everything thought through for guests. Lovely food too.
What a great wee find. We were in Invergordon visiting an elderly aunt and we’re only staying for one night. We wish we had planned for more time there. Our room ‘The Global Suite’ was luxurious with a big comfy sleigh bed and even a roll top bath. Breakfast was amazing with a special mention for the porridge, my wife says it’s the best she’s tasted.
